What the Change Campaign Tier wizard does
This wizard appears every time you change the tier an affiliate is associated to. The goal of the wizard is to decide whether to update all existing campaign payouts to the new tier default payout.
Changing an Affiliate's Tier
The affiliate's tier can be accessed and edited in the Info tab of the Affiliate card which is located in the Home tab. It will state a specific Tier or "Default Affiliate Tier" which references the default selected in Setup > Other Lists.
To change the affiliate's tier, choose a different tier than what the affiliate has currently from the drop down and click save.
The Change Campaign Tiers wizard
The wizard defines the affiliate and the tier the affiliate is reassigned to. The following boxes determine which campaigns will be modified to the new default tier payout.
If no boxes are checked, CAKE will change all campaigns to the default payout of the new tier.
Ignore Payout Mismatch
Checking the ignore payout mismatch box will update all campaigns except any where the current payout does not match the default payout of the old tier. Meaning, if they already had a custom payout different from the default for their tier, then keep the custom payout.
You can use the custom payout report to research which campaigns currently meet this condition.
Ignore Tier Mismatch
Ignore Currency Mismatch
These next two do not apply if you do not have multiple currencies enabled.
Checking the ignore currency mismatch box will update all campaigns except any where the currency of the campaign is different than the currency of the offer. Checking this box will dynamically remove the check box below it.
Convert Currency Mismatch
Checking the convert currency mismatch box will update the payout of all campaigns that currently have a currency different than the currency of the offer but the updated payout will reflect the new tier's default payout converted according to the exchange rate you have set up in your system.
NOT checking this box will update the payout for all campaigns to reflect the default payout of the new tier but in the currency of the offer.
